The best BLT I’ve ever had. Their bread is phenomenal. The staff is so friendly. It’s a cozy little atmosphere. Not a huge amount of space but enough seating where it isn’t uncomfortably packed. The pricing to size-of-item ratio if great. You get what you pay for. Love that I found this gem!!
Ideal Cafe's Monster BLT with a medium roast coffee, and for about 20 after taxes and tip. And it's a BIG BLT - a great value the money. The atmosphere is relaxed and the customer service is outstanding as always.
Our favorite coffee place in Ottawa. The staff is always welcoming. The coffee is very good and I never had something to eat that I didn't like. My favorites are Monster BLT, Sausage Breakfast Wrap and the Raspberry White Chocolate Scone.
Ideal Coffee has been my go-to spot for fresh roasted espresso for my home espresso machine for the past 3 years. I drink their espresso daily, and it is always super consistent, fresh, perfectly roasted, and wonderfully flavorful. Brazilian Espresso (5/5) - this is my daily go-to bean of choice for a bold flavored espresso with notes of chocolate and nutts, as well as a pleasant sweetness. It shines through milk based drinks beautifully, and tastes equally incredible as a shot or iced American (for the summer) as well! I brew at home with Breville Infuser and Smart Grinder Pro. If you're into dark roasts, their Princess of Darkness beans is my favorite dark roast I've had. It also deservingly won best coffee at Ottawa Coffee Fest a couple years back! All their food is also delicious. The breakfast wrap is super cheesy and enormous; guaranteed to fill you up! The BLT was also amazing; bacon had great flavor and the bread choice was perfect
Been getting beans from here on and off for many years, love managing to come in when they are in an active roast cycle as the place smells really good. I had the pleasure of having the monster BLT and the name doesn't disappoint, shared this with my partner and we enjoyed every bite. Staff are super charming and the red headed cashier was really on the ball with all the orders!
Recently moved to Ottawa and I'm so glad I found this spot! It's a fantastic place to dine in and 'get away' from the big city. Very cozy inside and there's always very relaxing music being played. The food and drinks here are delicious and reasonably priced. I'd highly recommend the iced mocha and the Italian deli sandwich, but you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.
Lovely food, better service! Stopped in for a quick bite and had absolutely no complaints. Good selection of breakfast and lunch items as well as hot and cold drinks. They even sell their own coffee to take home and I believe can grind it for you also. Plenty of seating and all well spaced apart. Very relaxed atmosphere and we appreciated that the staff came round to check if everything we ordered was okay. We will definitely be back!
What a wonderful cafe! It is so cute here, they have specialty coffee drinks for the summer like strawberry macchiato, which is so good! The sandwiches are fantastic! I enjoyed a veggie wrap and the italian deli sandwich, so worth it! Also a cute spot to come and study. Very calm and welcoming vibes
